Concept ’23 is the 6th Annual Industrial Design conference run by students from the Carleton University School of Industrial Design, in 2023, we were fortunate to have the events take place in person. Heather, Re4m’s founder, was a speaker at the event this year and presented in front of about 100 students about entrepreneurship and Design. This event aims to provide an opportunity for surrounding design communities to come together and collaborate, attend workshops and talks, as well as network with other designers.
Concept Carleton’s theme this year is “Evolve“, whether that be an evolution in design, evolving design technologies, or areas of design. We have a wide variety of speakers who will be hosting talks or workshops, expanding on their take on this year’s theme. Over the two days of the conference, attendees will be able to listen, participate, and network with professionals, as well as gain valuable experiences and knowledge.
Heather and Khalil also ran a Design workshop for the students where we displayed various materials that we would use in a Re4m project and asked them to re-work the materials to design a bar height table or sideboard.
